Bianchini distillery is located, a company that has been operating in the province of Sondrio since as far back as 1911 and has made respect for tradition not just a figure of speech but a true philosophy. In fact, distillation still takes place today using a bain-marie still, capable of holding up to 350 kilograms of pomace, built more than fifty years ago by Tullio Zadri of Salorno and which continues to yield distinctive, quality products. The recipe for its preparation is secret, the result of a bold intuition on the part of pharmacist Francesco Peloni. The harvesting of some of the medicinal herbs used in its preparation takes place on the slopes of the mountain of the same name, which reaches 2900 meters above sea level.
