Preparation of infusion: put 2 large tablespoons of dried root in 500 ml of cold water. Bring to a boil and let simmer for about 10 minutes. Turn off, let stand for another 10 minutes, then strain. Drink 2 to 3 cups daily. Contraindications: it is not recommended to take for long periods because of the irritating action on the intestinal mucosa. It is contraindicated for use in cases of intestinal inflammation (Chron's disease, ulcerative colitis, appendicitis, etc.), in pregnancy, lactation and in pediatric age. Also, because of its oxalate content, it is best not to use it in cases of kidney stones.
