POSOLOGY AND SUMMMINISTRATION Beehive treatment: two applications of 50 g gel (equivalent to 12.5 g thymol/dose) per colony at 2-week intervals. Maximum of two treatments per year Method of administration Open the Beehive. Place the dosing stand (supplied) in the middle of the brood combs. The product should be well mixed before use for 10 seconds with a hive lever or similar instrument. Using the dosing syringe (supplied), transfer the first 50-gram dose of gel from the bucket to the dosing stand as follows: Remove the dosing syringe from its packaging. Push the syringe cone completely into the gel making sure that no air enters the syringe. Slowly pull back the plunger of the syringe to aspirate 52 ml (equivalent to 50 grams) of gel. Remove the syringe from the gel . Gently push back the syringe plunger to release the gel from the syringe gradually over the entire surface of the dispensing stand. Be careful, you need to be sure that there is a clearance of at least 0.5 cm between the top of the gel and the Beehive lid. Close the Beehive. After completing Beehive treatment, wash the syringe in warm water. Pull out the syringe plunger and wash the tool thoroughly until all traces of gel are removed . Allow to dry and store in closed container until next use. After two weeks, repeat the treatment by replacing the dispensing medium with a new one on which a second dose of 52 ml (equivalent to 50 grams) of gel should be applied following the procedure described above. Leave the product in the Beehives for another 2 weeks until it has completely disappeared from the dosing stand. Remove the product when mounting the Honey super to the hives. See figures below: The efficacy of the drug is maximized if the product is used in late summer after honey harvest (when the amount of brood is decreasing). However, in the case of severe infestation, the product can also be used in spring when temperatures are above 15°C. Efficacy may vary from hive to hive as a result of the mode of application. Therefore, the product should be used interspersed with other treatments as part of an integrated varroa control program, and the natural fall of mites should be regularly monitored. If further significant mite drop is observed during the following winter or spring, additional treatment in winter or spring is recommended. 4.10 Overdose (symptoms, emergency procedures, antidotes) if necessary *.
