Cell protector with the New Zealand method-NICOTSIt is used with the plastic dome (HY G-0013) but is not applied on the portalarva-this allows you to start from a real cell that is natural or created by transllarvo on a plastic dome. It then fits into the family
Made in collaboration with Jacques KEMP, it reproduces the royal cell. It allows the virgin queen to be born. It is necessary to insert her that is at most one day old and place her inside the family or orphan nucleus. Before introducing inside the artificial cell the queen , wax domes of a consistent thickness must be prepared. Following this, three small aeration holes must be drilled on the same with a hot needle. At this point the queen is inserted into the dummy cell, taking care to have well applied at the end the dome. Doing so will result in an artificial cell with a selected day-old queen inside.

This core consists of a nest, 3 small doors on three different sides of the nest. It has 3 feeder covers, 2 larger ones (same as those in Nucleus hive T2), while the middle one is smaller; they are all paraffined, with central chimney and with special closure for the feeding hole during transport. A masonite sheet is placed on top of the coverslips; as a closure there is an electro-welded roof covering both coverslips. A sheet metal separates the two compartments. The wooden bottom has a hole in the center covered with expanded metal sheet for ventilation. METHOD OF USE: You must open the frame and replace it with a frame inside the Beehive. Leave it long enough for your family to allow the brood to settle and transfer it to the Nucleus hive free work along with some bees. They, noting the absence of a queen bee, will make their own cell. For each frame you need to repeat the same procedure. At the end of the treatment you will have your 2 mini-nuclei with fertilized queen. Only recommendation: keep the Nucleus hive 3 km away from the apiary or closed 2 days.
6-frame wooden and plywood honey comb tray with: 2.5-cm wooden fronts; 1.3-cm phenolic plywood sides and covers; anti-moth net bottom; 4-position disc; galvanized sheet metal front door; painted; with electro-galvanized sheet metal lid
